“Our vines grow in vineyards of altitude nestling in the heart of the mountains of the Hautes-Alpes. Stretching out at between 650 and 750 metres altitude on the sunny south facing hillsides of the river Durance, they are amongst the highest in Europe. They sit high above the Serre-Ponçon dam, beneath the perched village of Théüs.”
“Our vine parcels are small and dispersed, situated mainly on the alluvial slopes carved out of the hillsides of Théüs by ancient glaciers. Our terroir draws all its specificity from these limestone clay and very stony soils. Its expression is to be found in all our wines and most particularly in our “Old Vines” cuvee which is made from Mollard, the traditional grape variety of our valley. Its touch of minerality is the signature of the wines from the Domaine.”
